No air conditioning and being unused to humidity, sleeping was difficult.

We frequently received conflicting information from staff re: activities at this location. The trails were not well marked. They were not all easily accessible, and they required quite a bit of strenuous hiking. Two members of our group were lost on a trail, and after they failed to return we notified staff that there could be an issue. Someone went to find them, and discovered them very exhausted and thirsty, about a mile from the facility entrance. This staff member drove back to the facility to report these two were on their way. He did not offer to assist them. Also, we are two couples and we were given one room for the 4 of us. When we made it clear that we required two different rooms, we were told that would not be possible and no one had reserved two different rooms. Tribes and Swiss Air were very helpful in getting this issue resolved, however, we waited hours with our luggage for a room to be prepared unable to take advantage of the day. I would not return here.

Good trip there - Cessna was good and interesting quite short road transfer. Location is fantastic. Our cabin had views over the Pacific and we could sit outside and watch monkeys, coati, toucans, etc. whilst looking over the sea. We didn't go down to the sea - it was described as a fairly tough set of steps so we didn't bother. Good birding trips and a very interesting 4 hours guided walk by their local resident biologist. Food and service were very good.

Amazing location. Right in the jungle, but also overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The beaches are beautiful (both Pacific side and on Golfo Dulce) but they are quite a trek to get there. The staff at Bosque were always super-friendly and helpful. And the food was very good, considering we were in so remote a location (although we would have liked to have seen fish on the menu more than the one occasion that it was available). Be prepared that this place is off the grid, so no hairdryers and no air-con, even though it is quite humid. Sleep with the sounds of the jungle all around you!
