Gunns Camp

Open: All year. 

Location: The camp overlooks Chief's Island bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. It is set amongst palm and ebony trees. It has a private airstrip on Ntswi Island, about a 20 minute flight from Maun and a 1 hour 40 minute flight from Kasane. 

Rooms: 6 meru-style tents with en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs and outside showers. They are on raised platforms overlooking the delta plains. The tents are furnished with wooden furniture and have a lounge area as well as a private veranda with a table and chairs reached through sliding gauze doors. Tents have electric lights and overhead fans. The toilet and basin are at the rear of the main tent, with a separate outdoor bath and shower. They are connected to the main camp via a raised walkway across the wetlands. 

Activities: Mokoro excursions, guided bush walks on Chief's Island, game drives and motor boat sunset cruises on a lagoon in the delta. Water activities are dependent on water levels. Gunn's Camp also arranges island camping with a personal guide. 

Facilities: The main camp has an elevated bar, lounge and dining room arranged over 3 levels, plus a campfire boma, viewing deck and a small swimming pool. There are battery charging points in the main area. 

Dining: Meals are eaten communally and served buffet style. 

Children: The camp accepts children of 12 years and over.  

Health: This is a malarial area. 

Communication: There no mobile, telephone or internet access The camp is in contact with Maun via radio.
