Holiday review by Dr Adrian Padfield
Name: Dr Adrian Padfield
Date of trip: 03/01/2015
Number of people: 2
The last morning, just as dawn was breaking, going into quiet corners of the bay to see a lot of turtles and many birds.
I haven't reviewed my photos yet but I know one shows ten to a dozen frigate birds in the sky.
Tribes Overall:
I'd have liked a little more science.
Guides:
The Quito guide Esteban was v. good; perhaps a little over religious...
Sarah on Beagle was good but as I'm a bit deaf not always understandable. We spent fairly long intervals standing looking at animals/birds.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
Some friends before I went thought Ecuador was not looking after the environment. I now will try to correct that impression.
The places you stayed

Beagle
Galapagos Islands
I was greatly relieved not to have to share a cabin; it would've been cramped and difficult. The initial briefing (by the owner?) was short and unsatisfactory but I wasn't feeling great.
Beagle is showing its age. I was disappointed we didn't sail but motored everywhere. The crew were excellent.
