Tribes Overall:

Overall, our trip to Peru and Brazil was good. There were some moments of confusion and frustration along the way, but nothing that could have completely ruined the overall experience of our trip.

Tribes Service:

The service we received from Paul Cook in planning our trip was very, very good. He was very patient with us in terms of explaining and re-explaining our options, and accommodating different trip duration options according to our needs. From the moment we contacted Tribes to us receiving our Trip booklet and accompanying materials from the UK, Paul was topnotch...

Guides:

To start with the best, our tour guides in Peru were amazing! Both Nancy (in Lima) and Jayber (spelling? in Cusco and on the Inca Trail) went the extra mile to ensure that we were well looked after. Nancy even came to meet us for our connection at the Lima airport after our flight from Cusco to Lima before we headed to Iguazu Falls. Although, it would have been nice to have known she was going to be at the airport waiting for us in advance of our arrival so we could have let her know that (while appreciated) we were okay to make our connection on our own.

By comparison, Pedro, the guide from Guayi Travel in Iguazu Falls was horrible. His grasp of English was subpar at best, and he seemed completely disinterested in improving his skills by conversing with us. In fact, during our two days with him, there were multiple instances during our tours of the falls where we would have to insist that he stop talking to other guides in order to proceed down the different trails. Suffice to say, we were happy to have left him at the Iguazu airport. Certainly, poor value for money!

Our guide (Kaita) and driver (Leandro) in Rio were both great!
