On our way from the airstrip to Lake Manze camp we saw a leopard take an impala down right in front of the truck. The leopard dragged the impala in to the bushes and the remaining impala started barking. That attracted a hyena who stole the kill from the leopard. All that on our first day, within half an hour of landing in the Selous!

On our way to Old Mdonya River Camp, late afternoon on our first day in the Ruaha, we came across a pack of lions by the side of the track. They had just killed an impala and were all fighting over it. An amazing sight and the noise......! A great start to our 4 days at Old Mdonya.

Tribes Overall:

Exceeded expectations in every way. A once in a lifetime experience.

Tribes Service:

Everything went very smoothly. All the internal flights and transfers worked perfectly and we will certainly look to Tribes again when we start to plan our next big trip.

Drivers and guides on both safari experiences were knowledgeable, friendly and eager to see we got the best out of our safari experience.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

Clearly tourism is essential to the economy of Tanzania so beneficial in that respect.
