Witnessing a stand off between four Giant Otters and a Jaguar just has to be one of those very special wildlife events. The screams and sheer aggression from the Otters was something we were not expecting and neither was the Jaguar which climbed a tree to get away. Something they rarely do.

Tribes Overall:

It was as good as any African experience we have had and we have had many!
Regular sightings of Jaguar have put Brazil firmly on the map and it is now a must place to go for the wildlife enthusiast.

Tribes Service:

It is one of the reasons we keep coming back.

These varied quite considerably. The Brazilian guides were OK but on many occasions only knew the name of the birds in Portuguese and struggled understanding English. Our Peruvian guide was first class and equally as good as the best African guides.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

It's hard to say as we didn't meet many local people. The Hyacinth Maccaw programme certainly is something that Brazilians were keen to see and many came up at the weekend.
