Perched on the banks of the Khwai River, Sediba Sa Rona occupies its own little slice of the Okavango Delta, right near the Moremi Game Reserve. Its name, meaning “source of water,” pays tribute to the river that nourishes this vibrant wilderness. The lodge is a modern reimagining of the iconic Khwai River Lodge, one of Botswana’s pioneering photographic safari camps.

There are 15 luxury tented suites, including a family tent that links two tents together, perfect for kids, friends, or anyone who likes a little extra elbow room. Each tent has its own deck overlooking the river and floodplains, cozy beds and mosquito nets, ceiling fans, a tea and coffee station, and a safe for your valuables (or that emergency chocolate stash).

At the heart of the lodge, an open-plan dining and lounge area flows onto a riverfront fire deck—perfect for breakfast as the sun lights the Delta or evening relaxation as wildlife gathers at the water’s edge. A pool and sun loungers offer a refreshing respite during the day.

The wildlife is basically on your doorstep – elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs are all regular visitors. You can explore with expert-led game drives, or if the water levels are right, hop into a mokoro canoe and drift along the river like a true delta adventurer.
