Into the Wild Eco Resort is located in one of the quieter areas of Chitwan National Park, on the banks of the Rapti River. Outwardly the resort's cottages resemble traditional Tharu dwellings made of mud and thatch. Once inside you'll see that mod cons such as electricity, WiFi and hot and cold running water have been incorporated to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and the balcony is an ideal place to rest and enjoy the tranquil scene.
Wildlife and nature are the main reasons for coming here, and you'll be able to explore by jeep as you seek out the park's animals and birds which include, of course, the Bengal tiger. Jungle and bird watching walks and canoe trips offer chances to get close to nature, and all excursions are led by resident naturalists. Staff can arrange visits to a local village for an insight into Tharu daily life and culture.
At the resort's restaurant you can sample tasty dishes created from produce grown in the organic gardens, and there's a terrace where you can talk to other guests as you enjoy views of the river. On some evenings there are slide shows about Chitwan's flora and fauna, and at other times you can watch Tharu dance performances.
