Tribes Overall:
We have been wanting to go to Costa Rica for a number of years and had very high expectations of our trip. From the moment we contacted Tribes travel Anita was extremely helpful and came up with really great suggestions on hotels, excursions and just generally tailoring the trip to our requirements. The trip was amazing and exceeded our expectations, the hotels suggested by Anita were perfect for us and the entire trip was well organised and really met what we hoped to see and experience.
Tribes Service:
The experience of booking with Tribes is the best that i have experienced with all (the great many) trips that i have booked. Anita was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and seemed to really understand what we wanted and delivered exactly to it.
Guides:
All of the guides in all locations that we went to were absolutely superb
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
The local companies that you used along the way seemed to have the highest wildlife/environmental policies available. All the guides totally respected the wildlife and environment around
The places you stayed

Alta Hotel
Costa Rica
The hotel was in a lovely setting with great views and it had a lovely feel and was extremely well maintained.
We were originally going to stay in the centre of San jose but are very pleased that we changed our minds and stayed here at Anitas suggestion.

Mawamba Lodge
Costa Rica
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and our Guide Dennis was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food was simple but extremely good, healthy and tasty.
We had the standard rooms and if we were to go back we would upgrade the rooms because although they were very clean and comfortable they were pretty basic.

Arenal Observatory Lodge
Arenal
WE booked a Smithsonian room on Anita recommendation which meant we had a lovely view of the Volcano and garden from our balcony and it was worth every penny. Clean and comfortable and staff friendly and helpful and the most amazing grounds with lovely walks and a viewing tower and bird feeders on a viewing deck so we had great views of so many birds including Toucans and hummingbirds

Hotel Belmar
Costa Rica
This hotel was extremely environmental and ethical. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and spacious and we had a great view of the pacific coast in the distance.
