I enjoyed each destination as each was quite different. The sheer variety of landscapes, fauna, trees etc and bird life is breathtaking. I think the visit to Mahale was particularly special as it is in the equatorial forest on the side of the lake with so much more to see by way of fauna and animals , than just the chimpanzees. That is not to say the chimpanzees were not great , because they were very special and quite possibly the highlight of my holiday.

The holiday exceeded my expectations.

all positive and I felt very supported.

Guides:

They all had enthusiasm which makes so much difference. One thing I know they appreciate is a sense of humour and not worrying too much about what the day brings. Consequently we had lots of positive surprises and sightings. It also meant they were much more relaxed as we were interested in much more than the big 5.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

i think everyone i met really cared about these aspects.

I particularly liked going on the Lake. This is a friendly camp with good food and excellent hosts who really care - but frankly that could be said of each camp.

We were very lucky and were the only guests, and so were very well looked after by a delightful set of people. The lodge has recently been refurbished and was quite luxurious. It feels like you are on an exotic beach holiday. The hosts really cared and have plans to make it an even better experience. I enjoyed teh fire in the evening and spectacular sunsets. They really need to market the place as it deserves to have more clients.

Mwagusi Safari Camp

Ruaha National Park

This has a delightful setting. Lovely beds, pillows and hot showers. Food was always varied and they all try very hard to help make it a special experience in this beautiful park. Henrik , the manager, was always helpful and nothing was too much to ask for.
