Tribes Overall:

We enjoyed the pace and choice of locations. The landscapes and biodiversity of Costa Rica was amazing . We liked the mixture of tours and time to explore on our own

Tribes Service:

Thank you so much for putting together the trip at such short notice. In the booking process it was really good to get first hand knowledge of locations and accommodation from Alex.
The service was great from start to finish. We also found the Vamoos app very handy.

Guides:

The tour guides all had a good knowledge of their subject. I loved learning about the natural environment and their ability to spot wildlife,

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

Many hotels encouraged reduction of waste of water. Laguna lodge ran wildlife talks and Bahía del Sol had a local project.

The places you stayed

Rooftop of Hotel Presidente, San Jose, Costa Rica © Hotel Presidente

Hotel Presidente

San Jose

Very central. Great that coffee was available for early departures

Pool at Lomas del Volcan, Arenal, Costa Rica © Fotokoky

Lomas del Volcan

Arenal

We loved our covered veranda and view of the amazing grounds. The staff were helpful and friendly.
We enjoyed the walk to the town and the option to use the hotel transfer service back- up the steep hill .

Dining at Hotel Fonda Vela

Hotel Fonda Vela

Costa Rica

Good location for exploring the Cloud Forrest and Curi-Cancha Park.
Our room was huge and airy.

Bahia del Sol pool at sunset, Costa Rica © Bahia del Sol

Bahia del Sol

Playa Potrero, Guanacaste

My idea of a perfect beach location, a long uncrowded beach with a small selection of locally owned bars and restaurants.
However the restaurant service was awful, the worst l have experienced for a long time. Certainly not in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
