The beginning to end our trip was amazing. The diverse environment throughout had it’s own special moment. It was unfortunate we were unable to witness the turtles on Tortuguero beach, but we loved this beautiful place. We felt so at home here and were blessed by the incredible range of animals and fauna that surrounded us. The accommodation was just perfect. Delightful moments laying out on the veranda in hammocks surrounded by basking iguanas.... incredible! We enjoyed the walk along the beach to the town. The stormy elements provided an additional edge to our excitement. The boat trips was an added bonus as we motored along looking out for monkeys and sloths hanging in the lush forest. Thank goodness for these reserves! The guides were fantastic and very informative, friendly, and welcoming. Arenal was such a different experience, but ultimately brilliant in its own way. We felt in ore of the overwhelming volcano. The hanging bridges definitely met our expectations. Then there was the Cloud Forest of Monteverde. So peaceful, calm and homely. Beautiful sunsets with cooler air providing a varying degree of forestry. We loved our joint curiosity with swinging spider monkeys and spotting the range of orchids along with other flora and fauna . Finally we had a delightful ride across the landscape to Manuel Antonio. We enjoyed walks along the beach with a much needed chill out. We could watch the white headed capuchin monkeys and the occasional Toucan fly by from our room! This really was a perfect end to a perfect holiday. Thank you Costa Rica for the most precious memories - thank you Tribes Travel for making it happen

Lomas del Volcan
Arenal
Very flash lodge in a amazing location. We loved the double aspect balconies. Best view of Arenal volcano and I was so touched to see humming birds drifting by the flower and fauna. There is even there own trail on the complex to explore. Lodges were clean and comfy and staff were very accommodating
Hotel Fonda Vela
Costa Rica
Very pleasant area near the Cloud Forest. Felt a bit out of season and the pool and jacuzzi was cold.
There were a group of teenage girls that I assume were on a summer camp staying close to our room, proving to be a bit annoying.
I think we had been spoilt by the previous peaceful lodges, making it a bit of a shock to be surrounded by a group of teenage girls.

Manuel Antonio
Wow,! Amazing view across the forest towards the sea. Great space and with regular transport to the beach. We made good use of the pools and jacuzzis.
There was an issue with the bill at the end for the restaurant. They had billed me for another room and double charged for one our meals.
Such a shame to end on a bad note as we had such a perfect time hear.
All got sorted in the end.
