Everything. Most of all, the landscapes, the proximity to the animals (especially while snorkeling), the crystal-clear water, the weather, the food on board, the therapeutic lack of telephone signal out at sea... Swimming with penguins and sea lions was particularly memorable.

Tribes Overall:

It was an amazing experience, among the very best vacations we've ever been on. Expectations were very high, given all of the documentaries about the Galapagos and how special they are, but the trip more than lived up to them.

Tribes Service:

Tribes did a great job of making everything easy and seamless. I was extremely busy at work both when booking and before departing, and it was not an issue at all. When we got slightly confused by some airport officials in Quito, they were reachable on the phone at the first attempt. Nothing to fault.

Guides:

Our guide was very knowledgeable, helpful and spoke very good English. The Beluga crew were attentive and everything worked perfectly on board.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

I'm not sure this is specifically a Tribes thing, but everyone (guide and crew) seemed focused on minimizing the environmental impact (e.g., being very careful about trash, staying on trails etc.)

As already mentioned, everything worked perfectly. Our cabin #8 was nice, with a big window. There was lots of excellent food - breakfast plus two three-course meals. The sun deck was a great feature, as were the wet suits for snorkeling.
