Holiday review by Ms. Margaret Grey
Name: Ms. Margaret Grey
Date of trip: 11/05/2019
Number of people: 2
Tribes Overall:
It was an incredible experience and I loved seeing the different cultures and the diversity of wildlife
Tribes Service:
Paul always provided a prompt response to any queries I had.
Guides:
As a solo traveller, it was reassuring to be met at the various airports and then transferred to my accomodation. each guide provided local knowledge and in depth historical information.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
At Mashpi and onboard Origin, the emphasis was definitely on environmental responsibility. All of the guides were very proud of their culture and wanted to share their knowledge.
The places you stayed

Sol y Luna Hotel
Peru
A beautiful setting, I loved all the extra touches like a hot water bottle in the bed. It was so peaceful and again the staff were very helpful.

Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo
Peru
This was my least favourite hotel. There was a lot of reconstruction work taking place. There was obviously a problem with the drains as that seemed to be part of the excavation work and unfortunately the smell in the bathroom was horrendous. I did mention it at the front desk but didn't recieve any feedback.
The inclusive tours were also poor, I went to the early morning bird watching and the young guide was not very knowledgeable.

Casa Gangotena
Ecuador
A beautiful hotel, I was surprised by the continuous police prescence 'guarding' the entrance.

Origin and Theory
Galapagos Islands
Wonderful staff, extremely knowledgable guides, Antonio was exceptional.
