Holiday review by Ms. Joanne Treadwell

We went for the wildlife & rainforest experience rather than culture. Loved the rainforest & wildlife viewing. San Jose is not the most picturesque of capital cities.
Tribes Overall:
Very well organised holiday & delivered on our expectations.
Tribes Service:
Would recommend Tribes for their knowledge & experience in Costa Rica. Delivered what we asked for. Highly recommended.
Guides:
All guides were knowledgeable & enthusiastic.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
Costa Rican's seem to be happy & really care about their country & wildlife. They could certainly teach the Brits a thing or two.

Evergreen Lodge
Tortuguero National Park
Great jungle lodges & location. Would have liked longer there!

Selva Verde Lodge
Sarapiqui
Fantastic location & guiding but rooms need updating & food mediocre. Described as being deep in rainforest. Some lovely primary rainforest but very close to main road with noisy trucks!

Between San Jose and Arenal
Great experience of cloud forest. Wonderful hospitality & hummingbird viewing. No air con or heating so difficult to dry anything (it rained a lot!). Great food.

Manuel Antonio
A relaxing break at a high class touristy hotel. Great views, food & superb sloth viewing. Superbly timed after the cloud forest to dry out & recuperate before heading off to Osa.

Wonderful. Guiding, location, hospitality, food excellent. We are vegetarian & they put Brits to shame with their inventiveness in the kitchen. One of the places on our world travels we would make sure we revisit.
