Holiday review by Mrs. Susan Breslin
Name: Mrs. Susan Breslin
Date of trip: 09/03/2019
Number of people: 2
Everthing. Every morning we wondered how the day could better the last .But somehow each day exceeded expectations. Tortuguero, Cahuita, Monteverdi and Tamarindo The sloth Sanctuary, early morning boat trips/ treks, zip lining, horse riding and the sheer beauty of the country and its people.
Tribes Overall:
Costa Rica was beyond our dreams. I have travelled widely and I knew Costa Rica would be somewhere special but I didn’t realise how special. The country, the people, their ethos. I am hoping to return next year.
Tribes Service:
Paul Cook was very helpful / knowledgeable. He put a fantastic tour together, including everything we wanted to see and do
Guides:
The guide Cahuita National Park was so informative and we saw so much ( sorry can’t remember his name)
Henry in Tortuguero was fantastic
Marvin in Monteverde was also brilliant
We have fond memories of these guys
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
It was fantastic to see how locals and the country protect and love their environment.
We would have liked to see examples of hoe they made this work
The places you stayed

Shawandha Lodge
Costa Rica
Loved the wooden huts , it felt authentic amongst the green wooded grounds

Evergreen Lodge
Tortuguero National Park
Fantastic, set in the middle of the national park . We felt close to nature but well looked after. Loved it

Arenal Springs Resort & Spa
Arenal
A high standard hotel with hot springs. It wasn’t authentic enough for us as the accommodation was too American and could have been anywhere in the world

Hotel Capitan Suizo
Tamarindo
An excellent hotel to end our holiday . The suite, food and its situation were fantastic . Set in tree filled gardens, full of wild life, howler monkeys above our balcony . The gardens end at the beach, we couldn’t have asked for more.
