For us it was the whole experience. The birds are colourful and plentiful, the fora and flora is wonderful, but the mammals are more difficult to find and see. I did see a tapir foot print and 2 fellow tourists were lucky enough to see one and photograph him/her. Photographic experiences were constant and plentiful and challenging!

Tribes Overall:

Very enjoyable, a bit like a tasting menu, 6 locations in you count the capital in different areas of the country which showcased the different habitats very well.

Tribes Service:

Very good, helpful and responsive. Thank you.

Guides:

Very knowledgeable. Their capacity for finding and pointing out birds and mammals was quite amazing.Only criticism that they were a bit keen to say what they saw last week, or what we might see next week!

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

The people are friendly and hopefully Costa Rica will keep the number of tourists in balance. It seems to be 'the go to' place at the moment. Their environmental awareness is hugely commendable, and how they are limiting plastic use is enviable. They are most proud of their National Parks, and these work in close conjunction with the nearby villages and schools. The CR government must take care with the vast increase in cars and trucks which clog most roads near the Capitol.

Very central. Delightful roof top restaurant. Access for coaches and cars difficult, narrow street and essentially no parking.

A good destination and a lot of wild life to see from the rivers. A very large 'hotel' and managed trips and food well, although the latter was somewhat basic. The bar was poorly manned, often having to go to reception to get the barman! Well, twice!!!

Beautiful location, good service and nice rooms. Highly recommended. Excellent wildlife in the gardens.

Beautiful location but access is one hour on a very bumpy road, not everyone's cup of tea. We would have preferred to stay in the main lodge where the restaurant is, with great views across the lake, and where the main bird activity was, but was told it was full - it wasn't as there were never more than 6 guests during the 3 days/2 nights we spent there. Our lodge in the grounds was some distance away from the main lodge and walking access wasn't ideal. We were offered an alternative lodge over looking the car park

A fabulous location and facilities. The attention to detail in our spacious accommodation and surrounding area was exceptional. I would highly recommend this Lodge. There is plenty of walks, a beautiful beach (no swimming) and island close by to visit for snorkeling and bathing. Saw dolphins.
