Early morning bird walk at Salva Verde and the visit to Curi Cancha reserve we’re special although we did not find the Quetsal bird but not for lack of trying.
Tribes Overall:
All arrangements worked perfectly and were well tailored to our interests and requirements
Tribes Service:
All good
Guides:
All guides were very knowledgeable and good at finding birds etc and identifying them. Particularly Ronald at salva Verde and George at Monteverde
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
In general all hotels and guides seemed very environmentally aware
The places you stayed
Xandari Resort and Spa
Costa Rica
Perfect for first night but we were a bit tired to appreciate it having taken four hours to get through immigration which was tough after a eleven hour flight.

Selva Verde Lodge
Sarapiqui
Our room was poor being on the corner of a block of four and all others in the block had to walk past our room which was difficult. There were better rooms nearer the river which would have been better.
All made up for by the excellent guided walks.
Food was ok breakfast good

Corcovado Wilderness Lodge
Corcovado, Osa Peninsula
Room was good clean and comfortable it was a bit regimented in terms of being summoned to dinner at 7.00 sharp and told what time to have breakfast but as the guides doubled up as doing everything maybe it was neccessary
