When we were in Laguna Lodge, we managed to see a sloth in the wild about 6 feet from us as she was in the low hanging trees with her baby too. We really wanted to Sloths so to see one with a baby this close was amazing. I think the main 'best bits' were seeing all the wildlife and the stunning views. We were so happy with most of it that's hard to pick out specifics - the holiday ran so smoothly and we got to see everything we wanted to see and would change very little.

It was a fantastic holiday and we loved so much about it - everything ran so smoothly and overall we were incredibly happy

Tribes Service:

In the build up to our holiday the service from Fernanda was excellent and when our snorkelling trip was cancelled a refund was arranged really quickly so we were very happy overall

Guides:

All of our drivers and guides were excellent

Would like to mention Fonzie in Laguna Lodge, our guide that took us to the Quetzals in Dantica and our driver that took us from Shawandha to Dantica (we had two drivers, it was the second one) - they were especially great

They upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which was great - very comfortable

Shawandha Lodge

Costa Rica

The hotel was great and near to the nicest beach in the area but it was probably a bit far from livelier things - to get to Puerto Viejo and back was about $20 so adding that onto every day adds up.

We really enjoyed staying here but I think that if we were staying longer than we did, we would have been frustrated by the location of the hotel.
