Holiday review by Mr. Martin Bottrill
Name: Mr. Martin Bottrill
Date of trip: 24/11/2018
Number of people: 2
Being woken regularly at 5.00am by Howler Monkeys. Scarlet Macaws flying around the Osa Peninsula. Toucans at all locations. Hummingbirds at the Bosque de Paz.
Tribes Overall:
Everything worked well. The transfers turned up on time and the local ground handlers went beyond their remit when we contacted them about a lost ring at the previous hotel. The ring was found and then couriered to our next hotel.
Guides:
All good.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
We were clearly supporting the local economy and the reserves in Costa Rica by travelling and staying in their hotels and using local guides.

Between San Jose and Arenal
Excellent birdlife and guide which was spoilt by the cold and damp rooms. After 2 days it was impossible to get warm other than going to bed.
However the staff were friendly and exceedingly helpful.
A little heat in the all rooms would solve all problems and make the place a joy to visit.

Manuel Antonio
Good hotel but the resort was very commercialised and the Manuel Antonio reserve was a disappointment from a birdlife perspective.
A good place to relax for a few days.
