Highlights were - 3 sightings of wild dogs, very close up in one instance, two separate viewings of lionesses with cubs, hyenas with cubs, honey badgers, and getting closer than ever before to a leopard in hunting/stalking mode. hippos grazing outside our tent at night and elephant wandering through the camp in daytime. closer than ever before to giraffe, which seem to be rather shy. mad makora dashes across the water while trying to avoid the hippo and crocs. the herd of elephant that lived very near our camp. seeing hippos out of water. pretty much everything!
It exceeded expectations, as we stayed in a variety of habitats and saw different animals in each location. A great mix of viewing from a vehicle, boat, and on foot.
The itinerary proved to be excellent and we were grateful that Tracy placed the Vic Falls stay at the start of our trip, despite our misgivings, as it gave us some acclimatisation and relaxation time after the long journey [3 flights]. If we had gone straight in to the safari, we would have been exhausted from the flight and would not have appreciated the first couple of days viewing game fully,
All our guides were really helpful, and went the extra mile to ensure that we had an activity [even if shorter than usual] on the morning we left
The places you stayed
Great service, beautiful surroundings, good food.

Overall, The Old House was acceptable. the rooms were fine- the others' room was small but we got a family room. Service was a bit hit and miss, especially around meals - we had to wait over 50 minutes from ordering to receiving food one evening. We mentioned it to management and it improved a little the following evening.
