One morning we were getting ready to leave for a Game drive when wild dogs were spotted behind the camp so we all piled into the Jeep to go and see the pack spreading out ready for hunting. Having returned to camp we then had a sighting of a leopard, so off we went again to see this wonderful creature lying in the grass. Later on in the afternoon we were lucky to see cheetah. We also saw hyenas, meerkats, banded mongoose as well as all animals which you expect to see. As we did camping we stayed in some remote campsites with a jackal coming to visit us in the Nxai Pan site, hippos close by on another site and lions roaring in the middle of the night in one of the Choebe sites. Truly a great wildlife holiday to cherish forever.
I have had a wonderful time seeing much more wildlife than I thought. It was great to see so many colours little birds as well as leopard and cheetah, lion, giraffe, zebra, elephant, hippo and many types of antelope to name just a few!!
Sinead was very helpful as everything was done via email. She kindly sent out the paperwork for Flight details, etc as I could not access Vamoos app and advised about Borfder crossing, etc.
Both Barkos who was our guide from Planet Baobab and Shabba from Bushways were very knowledgable. Both knew all about all wildlife and took their responsibilities for us very seriously.
We spent 2 weeks with Shabba from Bushways and nothing was ever too much trouble and he showed us lots of species of animals on the Game drives. Always worked hard to set us and break camps as quuickly as possible.
The places you stayed
This is by far the best, most luxurious lodge we stayed at. We were welcomed by Charlotte with a drink and briefing, shown to our room which overlooked the Zambeze and got laundry done and returned within a couple of hours - amazing!! All meals and drinks were included and the service by all staff was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. No request was too much trouble.
