Overcoming a fear of heights for my son walking the hanging bridges and zip wiring. Riding the rapids in an inflatable rubber ring. Riding in an open boat in a tropical storm laughing. I
Tribes Overall:
Fantastic holiday experiencing everything that Costa Rica has to provide from the wonders of the animals, reptiles, insects, birds different eco systems. The friendliness of the Costa Rican people. The itennary provided us with everything we required.
Tribes Service:
You provided a great holiday within the budget.
Guides:
Special mention goes to Jonny and his colleague in Evergreen Lodge, the two guides in Monteverde who all provided an insight into the fauna and wildlife in both areas. All the drivers were on time and were friendly.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
Sad to hear climate change is effecting some of the eco systems however the people are passionate in protecting it.
The places you stayed

Hotel Presidente
Costa Rica
Lovely hotel that has been tastefully renovated. Ideally positioned for an overnight stay in SAN Jose to e oetiwnce tbe city. Roof top bar worth a visit.

Evergreen Lodge
Costa Rica
Wonderful experience sleeping in a lodge that you could hear all the wildlife. Approaching by river adds to the experience. Food was ok but bit like a factory being told which restaurant to eat in, where to sit and limited choice. The guides were fantastic however other staff did not speak especially in the restaurant.

Lomas del Volcan
Arenal
Beautiful accommodation with amazing views of the volcano. Room was spotless however limited choice of food on the menu. Friendly helpful staff.

Monteverde Lodge and Gardens
Costa Rica
What an experience in this fantastic hotel. The grounds were full of wildlife with lovely walks. Restaurant food was fantastic and great to have a choice for breakfast, coffee and tea available all day. The staff were amazing and the little touches like turning the beds down with the added fresh water and cookies was lovely and homemade cake. Able to walk into the town which was great.

Bahia del Sol
Playa Potrero, Guanacaste
Lovely beachside hotel with friendly staff. Very relaxing after 10 days travelling around Costa Rica. However the standard rooms need updating especially the bathroom which required a deep clean. However the grounds were beautiful and the sea a step away.
