Everything was great, there were so many high points it is difficult to list. For Bob seeing the gorillas was awesome. The colonial splendour of The Victoria Falls Hotel was wonderful. The houseboat cruise on the Chobe was great fun and watching so many animals especially elephants coming to the river to drink was lovely. Our safari camps in Botswana were both very luxurious, we had fantastic sightings of many animals including leopards and lions. The parks were private concessions with only the cars from our camp there,so there was no difficulty in getting to see the animals. One highlight from both camps was the improptu musical performances of the staff. We saw 147 different birds including several "life ticks" We were able to take our time watching birds and animals alike. I have problems with mobility but everyone everywhere was helpful and we were wonderfully looked after.
Tribes Overall:
Our expectations were high and it was wonderful. Nearly everything in the plan went smoothly and we were very well looked after.
Tribes Service:
Yes. Tracy coped with our somewhat complex itinerary very well. There were the inevitable slips about flights, but the finished article was great. whenever we contacted Tribes we always got good service and help
Guides:
All the guides were good and the two on our safari camps were excellent.
The places you stayed

Mountain Gorilla View Lodge
Rwanda
Huge cabin in lovely garden with awesome views of the volcanoes. the staff were very helpful, food good. The log fires were very welcome each evening.
The only downside was the rather odd shower and how cold the bathroom was.

Victoria Falls Hotel
Zimbabwe
Fantastic colonial hotel with wonderful views. The staff were very attentive we were treated to old fashioned luxury.
The only downside was the swimming pool which was very cold.

The Zambezi Queen Collection
Chobe & Savuti
We were on the Chobe Princess 1 with 8 other guests. The room was very comfortable. We were made very welcome and it was just like being at a safari camp with "game trips" in the smaller boat. Food was very good. The common room was very comfortable. The whole experience was very relaxing.
The only drawback might have been if you had been with less congenial people than we were.

Lagoon Camp
Botswana
Wonderful.
From the first welcome to the goodbye we had a fantastic time. Our lodge was huge and very comfortable. It is difficult to think of anything we lacked.

Gomoti Plains Camp
Botswana
Wonderful.
From the first welcome to the goodbye we had a fantastic time. Our lodge was huge and very comfortable. It is difficult to think of anything we lacked.
