Holiday review by Mr. Gary Watkinson

We had big expectations for this trip and we were not disappointed. The views at Machu Picchu were breathtaking and awe inspiring when you consider how and when it was built. The wildlife on the Galapagos was brilliant, seals performing in the water for us, snorkelling when 25 plus penguins came through not once but twice and kindly slowed down so we could film them, the Marine Iguanas were fascinating and we saw Mola Mola from our Panga and the crew moved over to them so we could have close up views. The scenery was spectacular and the knowledge of our guides was so good we learnt so much and they were so enthusiastic for their subjects we really felt at home and a part of the amazing surroundings.

Tribes Overall:

Fantastic holiday thank you.

We thought Machu Picchu was amazing and the trip there on the vistadrome train was excellent for the views.
Galapagos was breathtaking, some of the views and the wildlife were amazing and it definitely lived up to expectations.

Tribes Service:

The service was brilliant, everything went like clockwork we were met by the guides as planned and they were very helpful.
For such a multi-based trip with so many flights the organisation was excellent and we never felt unprepared.

Guides:

We thought the guides were very good but Maria in Cusco excelled. We lost our luggage and the airline were less than helpful and she went over and above to find it for us and arrange for it to be collected, she even came back with us in the taxi and paid for it to make sure we were ok.
Lobo our tour guide for Cusco and Machu Picchu was excellent his knowledge was outstanding and he was good fun.
Juan Tapia on the Beluga was superb his enthusiasm and knowledge were top class and his singing wasn't bad too !!

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

We love nature and are involved with many nature groups so we have an understanding of the negative impact humans and their environment can have - we were extremely impressed with how the locals in Peru Equador and especially the Galapagos considered the impact on the animals and nature, it was really nice to see and contributed to the holiday being so good.
