The places you stayed

The Twelve Apostles
South Africa
great hotel and location. loved the rooms overlooking the sea. The main restaurant , however was average and the service was poor. Whereas he service in the bar and the bistro was very good.
only disappointing aspect, is that I left all my camera chargers and leads in the room, in a large bag.I rang the next day..got a very poor response from the reception, said they'd ring me back but I had to ring only to be to be told they were not found. I was very surprised to hear this.

Rissington Inn
South Africa
quirky but enjoyable. Food was good and good service. Our room was spacious and reasonably well furnished.
very helpful and informative guide for the panorama

Simbavati River Lodge
South Africa
Great lodge, with two bedrooms and fantastic deck overlooking the river , saw hippos , elephants , Nyala etc.. very well equipped room .
excellent service. happy to charge my camera batteries..
The food was ok to good. a bit stodgy...pies ??? , excellent breakfast, but when a large party arrive for lunch, the food ran out !!!.
However the game guide, Kyle and the tracker , Cassie were excellent...really amazing and saw lots of animals...they went put of their way to find animals.

Ilala Lodge
Zimbabwe
ok rooms. Service was poor , both in the restaurant and bars, so after a poor service experience (food was good though and good breakfasts) We ate out of the hotel on the other 2 nights. Location good, would need to think about staying there if we ever were in Victoria falls again
