Holiday review by Mr R and Mrs B Matthews

Name: Mr R and Mrs B Matthews

Date of trip: 16/01/2018

Number of people: 2

As a Golden Wedding Anniversary present to ourselves the special moments and experiences exceeded all expectations. The ship, the crew, our cabin, the facilities, (food, bar and lectures), the wildlife and weather, the Zodiac rides. and the opportunity to camp overnight on the Antarctic Peninsula, all added to the experience. A couple of personal notes - we were known by our first names by all the crew, the cabins had no need to be locked, and at no time did we feel cold!

Tribes Overall:

Hard to find words to describe such an amazing experience of the life in the Antarctica.

Tribes Service:

Having had to book a year in advance we were very happy with the service provided. Near to the departure special access to Vamoos was very beneficial for all the documentation and diary notes, on our mobiles and iPad.

Guides:

One Ocean staff, with individual knowledge of all aspects, history and wildlife, friendly, helpful making sure you had a good experience. It was like being part of one big family. All the personal gear supplied was excellent. Crew of the ship also part of one big family.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

Collecting, and adding to, the data of the habitat and wildlife, visiting a working base (restricted number of visitors per day, and the photographic opportunities, made this holiday feel more like an expedition than just a cruise.
