There was so much to love about the trip. Here are a few highlights: beautiful toucans and hummingbirds, the howler monkey that decided to cross the hanging bridge when we were coming in the opposite direction, beautiful sunsets, fantastic food and the most welcoming people ever.

Tribes Overall:

Perfect celebration of my special birthday. The people, country and hotels all fantastic. We saw 51 species of bird on first day alone! Even the rain was good!

Tribes Service:

Tribes listened to what we wanted and gave personalised holiday ideas. Rory gave great advice and was knowledgable about the trips and hotels.. Information on culture, packing etc was invaluable.

Guides:

All the guides were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Book as many as you can! Special thanks to Jorge at turriadventuretours; Sergio and Hilary at Sarapiqui; and Xavier at Monteverdi. They made our holiday extra special..

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

Costa Rica is a country committed to protecting the environment and every hotel gave info on use of solar power etc. The guides were all truly concerned about the land and the animals and happy to explain how eco tourism is being developed in a responsible way.

Amazing personal service, beautiful gardens and a heated pool. The dining room has amazing views and we spotted birds and animals whilst enjoying great meals. We would love to go back.
