Name: Ms. Judith Viney
Date of trip: 08/02/2017
Number of people: 2
Being able to experience local customs and crafts was just what we wanted. Our stay at Parisons bungalows was special as Ali the manager was happy to take us on birdwatching walks and to the tea nursery where we planted tea saplings.
Tribes Overall:
The holiday was just what we wanted but we found that the itinerary did not always tie up with the services from the local ground handler.
Tribes Service:
Yes all the information before the trip was good and felt that I could contact Tribes with any queries.
Guides:
Our driver Amber was a very careful and very accommodating in trying to find ATM's and items we wished to buy.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
Yes we were happy with the aims of Tribes in trying to be environmentally friendly and using local guides as well as staying on organic farms.
The places you stayed
Kerala Houseboat

Most enjoyable but surprised at the number of houseboats. We had to ask for the double bed to be re made into twin beds.

Very comfortable with plenty of activities. Again we had to ask for the double bed to be re made into twin beds.

The boat was fine but we weren't forwarned that it was like the Norfolk Broads on a busy bank holiday 10times over.We weren't too impressed with the actual area we were in, surely there could have been somewhere less busy.

I was hoping for a yoga lesson here but glad I never partook in the one offered as I am complete beginner and would've suffered.I had an Arabian swim instead, which was the best.
The food, little thatched cottage. location and music during our evening meal was great.
