Holiday review by Mrs. Hermione Salwey

Loved all of it. What was a bonus was that the trips, air, boat etc were fun and experience in themselves. If there was something interesting to see we would stop and enjoy even in transit.
Tribes Overall:
We had a lovely time
Tribes Service:
Very. Very comprehensive notes. Paul always happy to help with the most trivial questions!
Guides:
Always waiting for us, drove well and had mostly a good command of english
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
Certainly beneficial to us! I didn't feel that anywhere we stayed that any of the hotels had too much impact on the jungle and they certainly gave good employment to the locals, who were mostly young, were passionate about sharing their country with us, learning more about their inheritance, and their use of english
The places you stayed
Le Cameleon Boutique Hotel
Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica
Very clean bright and attractive. Had to get out of bed to turn off the light!! So silly. Otherwise pretty garden, birds, monkeys in the tree near the beach. Sea too rough to go far as they had had torrential rain, so no snorkelling. Bicycles for hire across the road.

Corcovado Wilderness Lodge
Corcovado, Osa Peninsula
Wonderful trip to get there. Arrived to a tractor to pull us up the steep track to the Lodge. Very good welcome, teams of men to lug the luggage. Large well spaced bungalows, comfortable, but not palatial, lovely outdoor shower under the stars! Good food, dinner for all at 7pm which made for speedy service. Good guides, birds and animals. Enjoyed trip to Caco Island but sad that there were a number of other boats and paradise island was shared with several others. C'est la vie I suppose.
