Jaguars.... 6 sightings two of which were outstanding. The supporting cast of otters (fishing and den cleaning) caiman ( eating fish) and capybara (babies and fending off otters) plus the ocelots at St Teresa made for an excellent supporting cast. Enjoyed the fishing for piranha too. Food was excellent throughout
Tribes Overall:
The Pantanal and the Jaguar Flotel were a completely relaxed and enjoyable wildlife destination. Most of the time it felt as though we had the river system to ourselves.
Tribes Service:
All queries answered promptly and efficiently.... thanks Paul
Guides:
Paulo was personable and knowledgable. He obviously has a great love and experience for the region.
Social & Environmental Responsibility:
Southwild is an excellent set up which appears to want to give the visitor the maximum wildlife experience

Particularly enjoyed the efforts to bring the wildlife closer.... stork tower, crab eating foxes in the garbage, mating capybara, river trips with kingfisher feeding and of course the ocelots.

SouthWild Jaguar Flotel
The Pantanal
Room was a little basic, but I only used it to sleep in. The boat trips were efficient and the dining area was comfortable.
I was particularly impressed at the amount of work going into building a picture of the jaguar population....I gather nobody else can be bothered.
