We have tried time and time again to think of the best moment but we simply can't! Every experience was amazing!

Tribes Overall:

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our holiday. It far surpassed our expectations. The plans accurately described the holiday. Everything went smoothly and had been carefully put together so that we could make the most of every part without feeling either rushed or at a loose end. Every property we stayed in had been carefully chosen for its position, comfort or closeness to amenities.

Tribes Service:

We would always travel with Tribes. Tracy listened to our requirements and put together a fantastic programme. Having done the trip we would agree not to bother stopping at knysna. Much better to listen to tribes rather than our friends!!!!!!!

We were glad to have read our itinerary thoroughly before the trip as our trip to robbyn island had been forgotten. However it all went well and the weather was perfect!

Guides:

We felt incredibly safe and well looked after throughout our stay in SA. Every guide was knowledgable , was punctual and gave us their flavour of SA.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

We hope so! We were incredibly moved my our trips into townships - both organised by tribes and a couple of extra ones!

We did find the tipping quite difficult to gauge. Some help on tips for pre payed taxi journeys would have been helpful. Even a guide on the weekly average pay for guides/ taxi drivers / hotel workers would have helped.

Service was excellent. We arrived for breakfast and then arranged to go on a tour of Pretoria with a local guide. A very good idea as there was nothing else to do in the local vacinity - it was a very upmarket residential suburb. We ate at the hotel in the evening which was a very nice experience.

Outstanding, amazing, fantastic, out of this world! Far superior to the European orient express experience. Service and attention to detail was second to none. The cabins were extremely comfortable, both during the day and at night. The food and range of drinks were superb. 36 hours of indulgence!

A great location, helpful staff and lovely facilities. The breakfasts were lovely too. Plenty of restaurants close by and a supermarket just down the road, let alone Table mountain just at the end of the road!!

The proprietor could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The house was well appointed and the ambience was relaxing and exuding quality and attention to detail. Each day breakfast was a work of art and very tasty. A Champagne breakfast was served for my friends birthday. A lovely touch.The views were out of this world. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

An interesting place and interesting host! Loved the tour of the farm; the guide was so passionate it was infectious! I have been converted to choosing ostrich at every opportunity!
