The animals, the Masai guides and people along with everything I learned gave me the most wonderful experience and memories. I can't wait to go back there again. There were so many animals and birds that you could just sit for ages and watch the interaction amongst them all. It was fascinating.

Tribes Overall:

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday. The safari in the conservancies in Kenya were just amazing and I loved every minute of it.

Tribes Service:

Tracy came up with everything I wanted from my trip. The efficiency and knowledge of the areas were great to have available when planning my trip.

Guides:

I couldn't speak more highly of the Masai guides and the others that worked in the camps. Richard and Daniel at Selenkay were just awesome. They showed us so much and had a lot of laughs along the way. The team there really couldn't have been any better. The guys at Porini Lion Camp were also so accommodating and professional. It was a pleasure spending time with them.

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

I really love the idea of the conservancies, and I hope that they continue to work for the benefit of the wildlife, the Masai and the tourists who love to share it with them.

For a 'close to the airport' option, I couldn't ask for more. Service was excellent, and decor was lovely.

Kenya Adventure Camping Selenkay

Amboseli National Park

Selenkay was outstanding. I loved spending time in the campsite with the team and in particular watching the animals at dusk and the lovely colours that reflected off the landscape. They're definitely not 'basic camping' - it was a great combination of simple luxuries while getting the whole outdoors experience.

Porini Lion Camp

Olare Motorogi Reserve, Masai Mara

For a slightly more up market camping experience, this was perfect. The team there were extremely professional, yet relaxed and friendly. Nothing was too much bother for them. The conservancy has a lot more of the big cats (albeit a lot of them asleep!!) so that was a great opportunity to top off all the other wildlife we'd seen.

Dhow Palace Hotel

Stone Town, Zanzibar

I wouldn't go back. The location was in a very seedy looking back alley and service was average. Rooms albeit clean were also a bit on the average side. OK if you just want a bed and bathroom for a base, but that's all.
