Name: Mrs. Jennifer Cox

Date of trip: 12/03/2014

I think my best memory of this holiday would have to be the wonderful surprise the staff at Lagoon Lodge did for my birthday. They really did make the day so special for me - many thanks to them all.

Tribes Overall:

Fabulous holiday - wonderful lodges, exceptional staff and wildlife, guiding and viewing.

Tribes Service:

Tribes (Tracy) have always provided an excellent service - nothing is too much trouble for them. I really would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them. They're always knowledgeable and happy to help with any query/problem. We've used Tribes several times now and will continue to use them.

Guides:

I really can't believe some the things the guides see - they spot something and all the guests in the vehicle and peering in the right direction saying "but where?????"

Social & Environmental Responsibility:

We actually chatted with some of the staff at the lodges and they all said that if the photographic safari industry didn't exist, then there would be no jobs for the local people. Also I especially noted how respectful the guides were to the wildlife, never intruding when the predators were hunting, etc.

The places you stayed

Sundowners at the ready with Tau Pan, Kalahari Desert, Botswana © Tau Pan, Kwando

Tau Pan Camp

Kalahari Desert

I loved Tau Pan. Don\'t come here if you expect "wall to wall game" - but having said that we had fabulous lion sightings and another lasting memory will be the butterflies and the sunsets. Tau Pan is a fabulous lodge and the staff are so welcoming and helpful.

Kwara Camp

Okavango Delta

Compared to the other Kwando lodges, Kwara is looking a little tired but is clean and comfortable and after all we were there for the game viewing which was wonderful. Had especially good sightings of lion cubs.

Lagoon Camp

Linyanti

I adored Lagoon Camp - wonderful accommodation, fabulous staff, exceptional game viewing (special thanks to Carlos). Thanks to all again for making my birthday to special. When we first arrived at Lagoon we were told "welcome to your second home" and we really did feel that. A very special place.

Lebala Camp

Kwando Reserve, Linyanti

Again, I loved Lebala. Roger our guide was fabulous - again how these guys spot the wildlife is beyond me. The lodge is wonderful, spacious and clean but again its the wildlife we were there for and Lebala came up trumps, with lions, wild dogs and probably one of the best leopard sightings I've ever had.

AfricaSky Guest House outdoor sitting area and fire

AfricaSky Guest House

South Africa

AfricaSky was fabulous (sorry, keep using that word don\'t I). The food is out of this world (if you go there have the fillet steak. Again, if we need an overnight stop at Jo\'Burg we wouldn\'t stay anywhere else.
