A family of cheetahs finishing their impala lunch in the Serengeti
Breakfast with the hippos almost at our feet in the Ngorogoro crater. Wonderful for my hippo addicted hippo fan!
The safari element really lived up to our expectations, but Zanzibar was a little disappointing, especially the very run down state of Stone Town when our duaghter had told us how much she'd liked it; I think her memories are out of date! If I'd known there were such strong winds in the NE I would have chosen to stay elsewhere.
Tracy gave us Rolls Royce service and was always available to discuss plans and answer queries.
Our guide on safari Dotto was excellent; informative, receptive to our wishes; found us quiet corners in the crater away from the crowds.
The places you stayed
WE had a lovely room, large and comfortable. Dinner on the rooftop terrace overlooking the sea was magical. Then they let themselves down by forgetting our wake up call, fairly crucial since we had a 5 a.m. pick up, and then the promised breakfast packages were nowhere to be seen when we left.
