Day 6

Hwange National Park

A walking safari will showcase the smaller detail of what makes the African bush tick. Best done early before the heat sets in. If you prefer to take it a little easier while not missing out on the action, the look-up hide is the way to get a close-up view of wildlife as it comes to drink at the waterhole. Water levels permitting, you could take to the water and enjoy a guided canoe safari. Gliding silently past the wildlife offers another perspective on your game viewing.
Yet another option would be to join the pump run – an all-day activity that combines a safari with taking supplies to the wardens who look after the pumped waterholes that supply some of the wildlife with water during the dry season (June-October).

The team at BHAPU works on the frontline to ensure their protection. After lunch and a siesta it’s time to head out once more, perhaps on a game drive to traverse the area in search of more wildlife and birds.
