Day 4

To Hwange

After breakfast, a shared road transfer will whisk you off to your next destination on the borders of Hwange National Park. Sable Valley will be your home for the next three nights. This lovely intimate camp is where traditional African decor meets boho chic. One of the attractions at Sable Valley, apart from the warm and friendly atmosphere, is the underground hide which you can visit both during the day and at night. It's the ideal spot to get some up close and personal shots of the wildlife as the animals visit the waterhole. It has comfy seating, charging points and even a minibar.

Day 5

Hwange

Over the next two days explore Sable Valley's large private concession and possibly take a day trip into the park itself. Morning and evening game drives showcase the area's wildlife with not two drives being the same. Your guide will to his best to accommodate any special interests you may have. When you're not out on a game drive, spend some time either in the hide or perhaps at one of the treetop platforms for a different perspective. Relax as you wait and you will no doubt be rewarded with an up close encounter with wildlife.

Day 6

Hwange

You might like to vary the safari routine with a guided walk. You may be surprised how different this experience is to a game drive. Unencumbered by a vehicle you have an immediacy with your surroundings and your senses are on full alert, although in the company of your guide you are quite safe. You're able to pay attention to details like plants and insects, often missed from a jeep. Not that encounters with big game are uncommon. Your guide's extensive knowledge comes into play as he helps you 'read' signs in the bush and gain a deeper understanding of nature. Later you can join a night drive in the private concession which displays another aspect nature as you seek out nocturnal creatures.
