Four days of superb wildlife viewing in Nyerere in southern Tanzania is followed by 5 nights at an Indian Ocean beach lodge. A wonderful trip at a great price.

Day 1

Fly to Nyerere (Selous)

When you arrive at Dar es Salaam airport today, you will be met and transferred to the domestic terminal next door to the international airport. From here you will catch your light plane to Nyerere National Park. The flight is about 1 hour. At the airstrip, a guide from the camp will meet you and drive you back to camp. Depending when you arrive, you might have lunch then an afternoon boat safari, though if you're on the afternoon flight, you'll just settle in and enjoy dinner before heading to bed. Relax, you're in Africa!

Day 2-4

Game viewing in Nyerere

For the next 3 full days you can enjoy wildlife watching in gorgeous Nyerere based at Selous Wilderness Camp. Nyerere is a vast wilderness with savanna, lakes and rivers, and is known for great game. You will have two game activities per day. Most will be game drives, but you'll also get the chance to take a boat safari, and perhaps a walking safari if you'd like to try that too.

Day 5

Fly to Zanzibar. To the beach!

This morning you could take one last morning walk before you're taken back to the airstrip ready for your plane to Zanzibar (via Dar). At Zanzibar you will again be met, and driven to your beach resort. It's time to relax!

Days 6-9

On the beach, Zanzibar

You have the next 4 days to simply chill out on the beach by the Indian Ocean and sunbathe by the pool. If you fancy doing more than relax, you can do a variety of water sports and they have a spa too.

Day 10

Depart

Today we will take you back to the airport in time for you journey home, be that a flight directly from Zanzibar or via Dar es Salaam. If you're on a late night flight, you will be able to enjoy most of the day by the beach, and perhaps have dinner before you leave. We're sure you'll be leaving with some wonderful memories of Tanzania.
