Peru for Foodies

The name says it all - Peru has become a foodie paradise in recent years, and on this trip you get to find out exactly why. You'll dine in fine restaurants in Lima, the Sacred Valley and Cusco, which showcase how talented, innovative chefs are combining the wonderful array of local ingredients available from the country's oceans, lakes, mountains and jungles with contemporary cooking techniques. You'll also enjoy meals cooked in a traditional fashion, eat a field-to-table lunch on a working farm and visit a coffee roastery and a brewery, where you'll sample the products of course!

To ensure that you are equally culturally replete as you are gastronomically, this trip also takes in some of the cultural and scenic highlights of Peru, as you are taken on guided tours of Machu Picchu and some of the other famous archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. You'll visit the famous Larco Museum in Lima, take an Andean train ride, have time to explore parts of Cusco and Lima and shop for handicrafts in Pisac's vibrant market, and also have time to do your own thing.
