This holiday is a combination of sightseeing and culinary experiences, a real treat for gourmands and foodies

9 days from £4600pp plus international flights.

This tasty treat combines Peru's most famous highlights and its delicious cuisine; a coupling no food-lover should even try to resist!

  • Savour some of the finest Peruvian food and drink
  • Take a cooking class with a professional chef
  • Guided tour of Machu Picchu
  • Tour Sacred Valley archaeological sites
  • Shop in traditional markets
  • Visit a brewery, coffee roastery and maize farm

The name says it all - Peru has become a foodie paradise in recent years, and on this trip you get to find out exactly why. You'll dine in fine restaurants in Lima, the Sacred Valley and Cusco, which showcase how talented, innovative chefs are combining the wonderful array of local ingredients available from the country's oceans, lakes, mountains and jungles with contemporary cooking techniques. You'll also enjoy meals cooked in a traditional fashion, eat a field-to-table lunch on a working farm and visit a coffee roastery and a brewery, where you'll sample the products of course!

You'll also get hands-on, with market visits where you learn about and shop for produce, and cookery classes where you can acquire the skills to reproduce Peruvian cuisine when you return home.

To ensure that you are equally culturally replete as you are gastronomically, this trip also takes in some of the cultural and scenic highlights of Peru, as you are taken on guided tours of Machu Picchu and some of the other famous archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. You'll visit the famous Larco Museum in Lima, take an Andean train ride, have time to explore parts of Cusco and Lima and shop for handicrafts in Pisac's vibrant market, and also have time to do your own thing. And you'll stay in a fine selection of hotels, from ultra-contemporary to colonial, all chosen to provide quality and comfort.
