Day 1
Arrive In Cape Town, Transfer To Grootbos
Welcome to Cape Town! You will be met, assisted through immigration etc. and shown to your awaiting transfer vehicle, which will take you on the two-hour journey to Grootbos Garden Lodge where you will stay in a two-bedroom family suite for the next two nights. This exotic, stone and thatch retreat is perched on a slope of the Duineveld Mountain, surrounded by multi-hued flowers and lush fynbos (the indigenous plant-life) foliage.

Day 2
Grootbos Nature Reserve
Today you and your family can choose from activities such as horse-riding, fynbos nature tours, milkwood walks, marine/coastal drives/walks including the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, De Kelders cliff walk, Klipgat Cave combined with seasonal land-based whale watching (July - December).

Day 3
To Cape Town
After breakfast you will be collected and driven to Cape Town (two hours), where you have three nights in a two-bedroom luxury apartment in More Quarters, within easy walking distance of boutique stores, restaurants and bars and Table Mountain. Your stay here includes three scheduled shuttle services to the V&A Waterfront and the Cape Town International Convention Centre, so you can really explore the city.

Day 4
Sea Kayak & Cape Point
This morning you will be collected by your private driver guide and taken to Simon's Town on the False Bay coast for sea kayaking. Paddle out to Boulders Beach and visit the penguins before stopping (time and tide permitting) on a semi-private beach for refreshments, swimming and snorkelling (equipment provided). Have lunch at a seaside restaurant then travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, then return to Cape Town via a scenic route that takes in Noordhoek, Chapman's Peak Drive, Hout Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard.

Day 5
Family Day Out In The Winelands
Another uniquely crafted day created exclusively for families with little ones in tow. Take in the sites and spectacular scenery of the Winelands with your private guide as you make your way through mountain ranges and Cape Dutch homesteads to a selection of fine wine estates geared towards wine lovers with kids. You'll visit Spier, Middlevlei, where you enjoy a boerebraai (South African barbecue) and the children receive treats to cook for themselves over the flames, and Spice Route's delightful 'village' in Paarl. Or you could opt to visit the Franschhoek Motor Museum (additional cost).

Day 6
Cape Town To Tswalu
After an early breakfast your family safari experience begins with a private road transfer to Cape Town Airport to catch the 07.50 am flight to Tswalu (flight time two hours). You are met on arrival by a driver guide from the lodge and enjoy a game drive into the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, to The Motse, which faces the grasslands of the Kalahari. You have three nights in a luxury family suite at this superb lodge with its wonderful spa, infinity pool and Junior Ranger programme for children.

Day 7 & 8
Tswalu
Two full days in which to enjoy all that Tswalu has to offer. The lodge prides itself on maximum flexibility - guests have a personal consultation on arrival. Activities can include daily game drives in the morning, afternoon or evening, walking safaris, night walking safaris, tracking desert-adapted black rhino, horseback safaris, bonding with the meerkat colony, sleep-outs under the stars and walks to ancient archaeological sites of Bushman rock carvings, all against the dazzling backdrop of the Kalahari. This is the home of black-maned lions, kudu, springbok, cheetah, pangolin and aardvark.

Day 9
To Sabi Sands
This morning you are taken back to the airstrip for the flight to Johannesburg where you connect to the flight to Sabi Sands, the private concession bordering the unfenced Kruger National Park. Your home for the next three nights is Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge, where you will stay in an air-conditioned, two-bedroom luxury villa. This deluxe lodge has two swimming pools, a wine cellar, spa and the EleFun children's centre.

Day 10 & 11
Explore Sabi Sands
For the next two days you will explore this stunning game concession, with morning and afternoon vehicle safaris, and environmental awareness walking safaris. This is a Big 5 destination, and also a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 350 bird species. At night you can introduce your children to the Milky Way, with a stargazing session, and during the day the youngsters can enjoy age-appropriate bushveld themes activities and crafts as well as bush walks and game drives. There is also a secure outdoor play area.

Day 12
Safari Ends
You have time today for a final morning game drive before heading to the airstrip to fly to Johannesburg and connect to your onward flight, taking with you family memories you will all treasure.
