Arrive At Victoria Falls
You'll be met when you arrive at Victoria Falls Airport and driven to the elegant Victoria Falls Hotel. Having checked in, you'll be shown to your room and will have time to settle in and find your bearings. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas where you can relax after your journey. You can stretch your legs with a stroll in the gardens and enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool. The famous falls are just a short walk away, so today you may opt to catch your first glimpse of this stunning natural wonder.
At Victoria Falls
Today you can take your pick of the many activities on offer. These include a thrilling helicopter ride over the falls, a cruise on the Zambezi River, white water rafting, elephant back safaris, horse riding, exploring rainforest trails and village tours (book and pay locally). Whatever you choose, it promises to be an exciting and memorable day! Later you can head back to the hotel and, if you're back in time, why not treat yourself to afternoon tea on The Stanley Terrace, a veritable feast with scones, cream and jam.
Transfer To Chobe Princess
After breakfast you'll be collected from the hotel for the private road journey to Kasane, the border with Botswana. Here you'll meet a guide from the Chobe Princess houseboat who'll transport you by one of the tenders to this lovely vessel. This is where you'll spend the next two nights. Enjoy the opulent accommodation and panoramic views as you sit back in the lounge or one of the decks. The crew (captain, chef and three guides) will look after you well, so make yourself at home. Tonight you'll be served a lavish dinner.
Exploring Chobe River And National Park
A full day to enjoy all that Chobe has to offer. Accompanied by your professional guide you'll have the chance to take a boat safari in one of the tenders, watching for wildlife in and by the river. Hippo, elephant and buffalo are commonly sighted. This is a great area for bird watching and you'll be able to take special birding boat trips. Between activities you can unwind aboard Chobe Princess, enjoying the scenery and sampling fine food.
Fly To Linyanti
You'll have a morning to see more of the Chobe attractions before bidding farewell to the crew and heading to Kasane Airport for the light aircraft flight to Lagoon Camp. Set on the banks of the Kwando River beneath the shade of tall ebony trees, this will be your home for the next three nights. There'll be time to relax in camp, maybe taking a dip in the plunge pool, before your late afternoon activity, either a game drive or boat ride. You'll be back in time to freshen up before dinner around the large table with the other guests.
Exploring The Linyanti Reserve
You'll be busy today, with a combination of game drives, boat cruises on the Kwando River and guided walks, the last at your guide's discretion. These are all excellent ways to witness the flora and fauna of the Linyanti Reserve, which includes the often elusive wild dog. The double-deck boat cruise is a speciality of the camp. The boat drifts quietly downstream offering ideal conditions for wildlife viewing. The middle part of the day will be spent in camp, sheltering from the heat, resting and watching animals and birds by the river.
In The Linyanti
A second day to enjoy in the Linyanti. Setting off on a game drive you'll have the services of both a driver/guide and an expert tracker, so you can be sure of excellent sightings. The open-topped vehicle allows for great views, but as there is no shade you will need to take a sunhat, suncream and clothing to protect you from the sun's rays. Ponchos are supplied in the rainy season. This is good fishing country, with tiger fish, catfish, bream and pike often found. Fishing is on a catch and release basis. Back in camp enjoy a convivial dinner before retiring to bed, after a busy day.
Fly To The Okavango Delta
If time allows you'll have a final foray in the Linyanti, followed by breakfast and a flight to the Kwara Private Reserve. On landing you'll be transferred to your next camp, Splash. The camp has an enchanting setting overlooking the a popular water pan in the famous Okavango Delta. With just ten tents the camp you'll soon settle in, relaxing in the lounge, sipping a drink from the bar and cooling off in the plunge pool. In the late afternoon you'll head off on a safari which culminates in a night drive, arriving back in time for dinner.
Exploring The Okavango
It's an early start this morning, as you set off at dawn for your game viewing activity. This might be a 4x4 drive, a boat cruise or a sedate mokoro glide through the waterways. Keep your eyes and ears open for sights and sounds of nature. Your guide is on hand, with the benefit of his knowledge and experience, to make sure you have the best safari. Later there'll be time to enjoy lunch and have a rest before departing for your chosen afternoon activity.
In The Okavango Delta
Another day in the Okavango Delta. You might want want to select a different activity, complimenting the previous day's game viewing and giving you a comprehensive understanding of the diverse scenery and wildlife of the delta. Game viewing varies from season to season but is always excellent here and you can expect to see a wide range of animals and birds. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture those not-to-be-forgotten encounters. This evening you'll gather with other guests to toast your safari and enjoy a lovely three-course dinner.
Fly To Maun, Tour Ends
This morning you'll have a last safari activity (time permitting) and breakfast in camp. You'll then board the light aircraft bound for Maun where your holiday concludes.
