Our Kenya Adventure Camping Safari a high-quality wildlife safari experience in the Masai Mara and Amboseli, using adventure camping to get you closer to the wild and keep the costs down.

A camping safari staying in small private mobile camps is one of the best ways to experience Kenya's natural attractions. This holiday has been designed to include a variety of habitats so that the widest diversity of wildlife can be seen. The camps are sited in private conservancies so that walking and night drives may be taken but are also conveniently located for easy access to Amboseli National Park and the Masai Mara.

Our campsites are private, exclusive sites and there are camp staff who erect camp, cook, boil hot water for showers, wash up, etc., but you are asked to help put your tent up. An experienced safari cook travels with the group and the food is of a very high standard. Small, two-person dome tents are used and all camping equipment is provided, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and towel.

Your first stop is the Selenkay Conservation Area which lies in the heart of Maasailand a few miles north of Amboseli National Park. It is an important dispersal area and rangeland for wildlife in the Amboseli eco-system. The local Maasai community has set aside the area of a reserve for wildlife so that the habitat can be protected, and wildlife conserved. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya's most popular national parks, it lies 150 miles southeast of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border.

Next, you travel to the Masai Mara. The campsite is located on land owned by the local Maasai people alongside the Mara Reserve in the Ol Kinyei conservancy. Day and night drives and walks with the Maasai are taken here. The conservancy holds a wide variety of animal species for which the Mara is famous including a large resident pride of lions.

At either the start or end of the trip, you could include extra time to explore Nairobi, perhaps visiting Sheldrick's Wildlife Orphanage or the Giraffe centre.
