Day 1
Maun to Nxai Pan
The adventure begins! After arriving in Maun you will be driven to Nxai Pan National Park, for the start of your 5 Rivers Safari. The Kalahari salt pans are the dried beds of ancient lakes and today's scenery is a stunning mixture of grassland, woodland and acacia trees. This is peak season so you will see Nxai Pan and its inhabitants at their best. The rich grasslands of rainy season attract a wide range of wildlife including zebra, impala, springbok, giraffe as well as predators such as lion and cheetah. You are staying in a luxury suite at a small, welcoming camp and tonight you will meet fellow guests the campfire.

Day 2
Game viewing at Nxai Pan
A full day in Nxai Pan. Take a 4x4 game drive or a nature walk with a local Bushman guide to gain further insight into this fascinating habitat. Here delta meets desert and you'll see plant species, insects and animals from both environments. You can also view game without having to leave the comfort of your room, watching mammals at the camp's waterhole. If you prefer you can visit the famous Baines' Baobabs, which have changed little since first painted by Thomas Baines in 1862.

Day 3
To the Okavango Delta
Leaving the pans behind you travel to the famous Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world. Known for its profuse wildlife, it will not disappoint. In green season the vegetation is lush, birdlife abundant and animals healthy. This is a great time to visit the delta, to experience the variety of habitats and explore the maze of waterways. Your camp in the private Kwara Reserve provides comfy accommodation and a friendly atmosphere in a lovely setting. After the day's journey and game viewing, unwind over a cold drink as you look forward to a delicious dinner and more adventures to come.

Day 4
In the Delta
Guided walks, game drives by day and night, mokoro rides and boat trips - the choice is yours! These are all excellent ways to explore the varied terrain of the Okavango Delta. This is one of Africa's best wildlife viewing areas. As well as big game, you can observe plants, insects and tracks on a guided walk or watch fish eagles, storks and herons as you glide through the waterways in your mokoro. Back at camp enjoy a well-earned G&T as you watch the sun go down.

Day 5
To Kwando Reserve
Continue your safari as you travel to Lagoon Camp in the Kwando Reserve. The camp sits on the banks of the Kwando River in a private concession, you'll feel like your miles from anywhere. Lagoon welcomes you with spacious accommodation, luxurious indoor and outdoor showers, private viewing decks and friendly staff. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool between activities. Meals are served in the open-sided dining room and you'll enjoy drinks by the camp fire.

Day 6
Game viewing in Kwando
The camp has a remote setting adjacent to the Linyanti Wetlands which form the border between Botswana and Namibia. Morning and evening game drives with a guide and tracker optimise your chances of spotting the varied wildlife. The guides and trackers here take great pride in their work and will do their best to give you a memorable game viewing experience. Off-roading (Lagoon is in the private Kwando Reserve) adds to the excitement of your game drives, while night drives allow you to glimpse otherwise elusive nocturnal species. The camp also has a boat offering sunset cruises on the river.

Day 7
To Victoria Falls
Today you'll travel to Elephant Camp at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. You'll be able to see the spray from your luxury suite as you settle into your new home. Head off to view the mighty falls at closer range or maybe opt for an afternoon of quiet relaxation, enjoy a swim in the infinity pool and savour a sundowner.

Day 8
At Victoria Falls
Just 20-minutes out of town, The Elephant Camp is the perfect base from which to explore the falls and the Zambezi River. There's no shortage of activities! Take a guided tour of the world-famous Victoria Falls, which are particularly impressive at this time of year, enjoy a river safari or sunset cruise or enjoy a final safari, bird walks, or maybe even try your hand at a canopy tour.

Day 9
Time to go home
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. This sample 5 Rivers Safari ends here, but you can consider making your own itinerary too - see below.

This is a sample itinerary but with 8 lodges to choose from you can create an adventure of your own for anything from 3-nights upwards.
As long as you travel between 15th November and 31st March, spend a minimum of either 3 nights in 1 camp or 4 nights in 2 or more camps, you can take advantage of this great offer where most of these camps are common-rated. What's more, this is the best season to visit the Kalahari and pans, it's a great time to see grazing herds in the Okavango Delta and the waters are high at Vic Falls.
