Day 1

Maun to Okavango Delta

(Note: This trip begins very early so you will likely need a night in Maun before Day 1. Please ask us for help with this).

Leaving Maun in the early morning (07:30hrs) you travel with the guide and the rest of the group to the southern part of the Okavango Delta. The first part of the journey is by road but on arrival at the delta you meet up with the polers and their mokoros (dugout canoes) who take you along the water channels to your camp. This gives you the chance to sit back and watch the scenery and wildlife around you. You will leave your main luggage in the trailer and take just a small backpack (to fit into the mokoro) with all you need for the two days on the island. Your main bag will remain in the vehicle which is parked in a secure area while you are on the island.
