In a 12-day holiday you can really get to see most of the main highlights in Uganda. This itinerary is one suggestion of how you might like to do this, but given that this is a tailor made holiday, we can tweak this as you like.
Since this trip covers a lot of ground, you should be aware that there are some long drives. However, the journey really is all part of the fun. Apart from a few main roads, much of Uganda's roads are graded gravel and earth. This makes journeys slower and more interesting and there is village life all along the roadsides, so you will be doing a lot of waving! Bear in mind that in the rainy season, journeys can become very difficult.
You will have a private driver/guide throughout your trip, and all your accommodation is all very good quality.
Starting in Murchison Falls in the north, you slowly make your way down through Kibale Forest, into Queen Elizabeth National Park, on to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and finally return to Entebbe.
Within this exciting itinerary you will be able to enjoy wildlife game drives, a boat cruise to the foot of Murchison Falls, chimp trekking, another boat cruise in the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth NP, and, of course, gorilla trekking - the highlight of the trip for many.
We recognise that this is an expensive trip when based on only two people travelling together (as this has been costed), but the price drops considerably if there are more people in your party.
