Cruise Departs Puerto Natales
After breakfast you are invited on a tour to Torres del Paine National Park and Milodon Cave, led by an English-speaking guide. Torres del Paine is famed for its beautiful scenery, with lakes, waterfalls, lagoons, glaciers and mountains, while Milodon Cave is a historical site believed to have been inhabited by primitive man. The tour includes lunch at Rio Serrano Hotel. You arrive back in Puerto Natales to board Skorpios III in readiness for departure, scheduled between 17:30 and 18:00. Sit down to dinner as the ship sails through Angostura Kirke. This is a good opportunity to get to know fellow passengers as you look forward to the cruise ahead.
Amalia And El Brujo Glaciers And Calvo Fjord
Enjoy breakfast as Skorpios III reaches her first destination, Amalia Glacier. You can get excellent views from the lounges or open deck before stepping ashore on a nearby beach to walk to a viewpoint from which you can see and take photos of the glacier. Return to the ship for lunch and a rest by which time you've reached El Brujo Glacier. If weather permits you can disembark for photos and viewing. Soon Skorpios III is en-route to Calvo Fjord, arriving in the late afternoon. Here you are transferred to Captain Constantino, an ice breaking vessel, designed to navigate through ice fields, enjoying views of glaciers and icebergs. You return to the ship to freshen up before dinner.
Montanas Fjord, Glaciers And White Angostura
This morning you visit Montanas Fjord from where you can see no fewer than four glaciers that descend the Sarmiento Mountains to the water. Your cruise brings you close to Alsina Glacier and you have time to board a boat to gain close-up views. Later you land near Bernal Glacier and enjoy a walk through a forest and across a stream, to arrive at the glacier. You are so close you can touch the ice. In the afternoon Skorpios sails to White Angostura where you explore the water channels by boat, keeping a look out for cormorants and other seabirds, plus sea lions and dolphins. Returning to the ship you have time to shower and change into your best clothes for the the Captain's dinner followed by the farewell party.
