15 days from £3500pp plus international flights.

A comprehensive overview of Madagascar's flora, fauna and landscapes, this trip is very hard to beat.

  • Spot lemurs including the mesmerising indri
  • See the spiny forest and baobabs
  • Relax by the Mozambique Channel
  • Abundant bird, reptile and amphibian life
  • Get an insight into Malagasy life in the highlands

Baobabs, beaches and lemurs are the three main things that visitors to the island of Madagascar want to see. This trip is made especially to combine these highlights.

Madagascar is about as large as France so you certainly can't fit everything in one visit. However, this trip is a very good way to experience the diversity of the island, and covers some real highlights. You travel with your own driver and vehicle, giving you the flexibility to stop when and where you wish, and there is time built in for rest and relaxation.

We ensure you get to some of the best parks to see the landscape and wildlife. These include Andasibe (a major wildlife highlight), Ranomafana (famed for the golden bamboo lemur), Zombitse (great for birds in particular), and Isalo (wonderful rock formations, plus lemurs, amphibians and birds), and Reniala (for spiny forest including baobabs).

And that's not all. You'll also see some of Malagasy culture as you travel through the highlands stopping at small towns and villages, watching skilled craftsmen at work and seeing scenes of rural life.

It's a busy trip but we've included some time at beach in southwest, staying at one of our favourite hotels, where you can do as much or as little as you please.

We highly recommend this diverse itinerary which showcases some of Madagascar's best highlights. Unmissable.

Experiences you could have on this holiday

Madagascar is the only places to see lemurs, but in addition it’s excellent for unusual flora (baobabs and other spiny forest species), strange spiky limestone formations called tsingy, fabulous beaches and fascinating culture.
