Holiday review by Mr. Mario Briceno
Name: Mr. Mario BricenoDate of trip: 06/09/2014
Number of people: 1
Country: TanzaniaOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Service: "Tribes contact person (Tracy) was super efficient and helpful answering every question I had.
"
Guides: "My guide Victor was very friendly and knowledgeable about local flora an fauna.
"
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "I am not sure. I did not feel very confortable giving the tipping at the end of the trip since I found difficult to gauge the fair amount to give. I would prefer if the operator (tribes and keys hotel) pay enough money to the guides and porters in other for tips not to be necessary. I thing tip should be something special and not EXPECTED as it is currently at kili."
Accommodation
The room was nothing special, I think it was extremely over priced. However, people at the desk, restaurant and bar were extremely friendly.
Our Memories
"It was fantastic reaching the roof of Africa. Unfortunately, it tuned out that I was much fitter physically compared to everyone else and the guide did not take that into account for the summit climb. We reached stella point after 4.5 hours climbing whereas he had calculated 7 hours. This meant we had to stay an extra 2 hours at the summit in order to see the sunrise. And it was extremely cold... Nevertheless, one of the best experiences of my life"
