Number of people: 4
Country: Galapagos IslandsOverall level of Satisfaction
Tribes Overall: "We had a fantastic time and feel very privileged to have been able to visit such wonderful places and in such style"
Tribes Service: "Paul Cook was most helpful throughout. He put together an excellent package with very good suggestions and dealt with minor queries quickly and efficiently. We would be happy to recommend Tribes and hope to be able to use them ourselves in the future."
Guides: "We could not have asked for anyone to have been more helpful and mindful of our requirements and preferences. We felt extremely well informed and safe and secure but never pressured.
In particular we would like to thank Christo in Peru and Juan on the Beluga in the Galapagos."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "Great awareness demonstrated in the Galapagos regarding the wildlife and the environment as is to be hoped. "
Accommodation
Very pleasant stopover. Special mention to the very helpful late evening desk clerk who worked hard to help with a logistical question making calls on her own phone on our behalf.
The next door Gloria Restaurant was exceptionally good fun.
Beautiful setting, helpful staff, wonderful humming birds. Interesting restaurant across the railway line.
Very close to the airport but unfortunately also close to a fish processing factory. Perfectly acceptable stop over hotel.
Fantastic hotel accommodation, grounds and food. Excellent staff. We struck lucky with an evening show. Cannot understand occasional poor review of this hotel - our group loved it.
We had one of the best cabins (numbers 6 & 7), which although small had picture windows and were the least affected by engine noise and boat movement . Crew were fantastic and cannot be faulted but the boat is quite noisy when moving with nowhere that is quiet to sit and relax. Food was plentiful and well prepared taking into account people's dietary requirements but it was fairly basic in form and presentation.
