Overall level of Satisfaction

Tribes Overall: "A wonderful trip, with a great variety of experiences. "
Tribes Service: "We do like to get a lot of detail before we travel and Tracy provided all of the information we wanted. We were delighted to find that all of the places we stayed were prepared with our dietary and other preferences. This was very much appreciated. We had quite a complicated itinerary and Tracy did a great job - it all worked perfectly."
Guides: "They were all good and each had different strengths. We were particularly impressed by Neo at Chobe Game Lodge and were amused by all the comments from the male guides at other camps about the 'girls' at Chobe."
Social & Environmental Responsibility: "All of the local people working in the industry seemed to enjoy what they were doing and made us feel welcome. To my knowledge Botswana has always had a high cost low impact policy regarding tourism and we hope that the investment in Rhino re-establishment is an outcome of this."

Kanana Camp
The camp had an intimate and sociable atmosphere. 'Tents' were excellent and very comfortable. A visit to the Heronry is a must. They are just about to refurbish which we were surprised to hear. Isaac, our guide, was great and we wish him all the best at Disney World come July.
Meno a Kwena
A very different experience and they are excellent at what they do. The 'bucket shower' system was so much more than we had anticipated. Hot water was provided whenever we wanted it, and the shower area had a lovely view, complete with Zebras and Elephants. Particularly attentive and creative regarding Vegetarian and Lacto intolerance diets. We also enjoyed the Bushmen walk very much, the information and their sense of humour.
Chobe Game Lodge
Very good accommodation and very helpful chef (vegetarian friendly). Lovely staff - lots of trainees. Great to be staying in the Game Park itself. We enjoyed the fact that the guides were female; they worked really well as a team and were very professional and knowledgeable.
The Blue Train
What can we say - a fabulous experience all round. Well designed and operated suites that magically change from day room to bed room during dinner time - and back again at breakfast. A double bed and a bath...on a train...Fantastic! Super service and some lovely travel companions. Not quite so au fait with Vegetarian cooking but were keen to please and provide what we asked for.
Castello di Monte
So much more than a guest house. Lovely room. Excellent food and service. We were provided with our very own Vegetarian menu with a choice for each course - Heaven! Well geared up for early departures to the Blue Train.

Our Memories

"Having lived in Botswana from 1989 to 1992 and never having seen a Lion there during that time (despite extensive touring) it was a delight to see them on a number of occasions on this trip."
"It is said that one should visit Victoria Falls in every season to see the water flow at its fullest and least - and the points in between. It is a wonderful experience whatever the conditions and to stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel makes it even more special. "
